The Accidental Collab

When your best ideas come from a Thursday lunch inside AlienKind's chaotic, culture first brand thinking.

It was a Thursday lunch and we were brainstorming, nothing formal, just trying to figure out what we wanted to work on next. During that conversation, the name AlienKind came up. No one questioned it. All of us already knew the brand. We had seen it on our feeds, shared posts with friends, and followed what they were doing. It did not feel like a product brand as much as something people already identified with.

After that, we sat down to work on the pitch deck. The seniors joined us and worked alongside us, showing us how pitch decks are actually made in the process. Not just what goes into each slide, but how to think about structure and direction at the same time.

Somewhere in the middle of all this, the work started feeling like a game. We were moving ideas around, thinking a few steps ahead, adjusting things as we went. It was challenging, but it was fun.

We stopped discussing other directions and started building around this one. Screens filled up, references got pulled, and the deck started taking shape. Only later did we realise this was where we were fully game.
