Why we started it.

A community without a crew isn't really running.

Blend had the audience, the relationships, and the brand equity. What it didn't have was a consistent team of young creatives doing the actual work, documenting, creating, connecting. Blend Crew was the answer to that. Not an internship where you shadow someone, but one where you do the real thing: real briefs, real brands, real accountability.

The second goal was just as important to prove the model. Cohort One was a pilot in the truest sense. We were testing the structure, the pace, and the kind of people this programme attracts. We hired 5 interns, gave them 3 months, and built the plane as we flew it.

Most internships give you tasks. Blend Crew was built to give you something rarer, a place inside an actual workflow, not a shadow version of it.

What the Crew Took Away

Across all 5 interns, a few things emerged consistently. Every crew member left with a clearer understanding of how to pitch- to a brand, to a room, to a brief. Every crew member developed their sense of collaborative creative output. And every crew member got direct experience of what the independent creative economy in Bengaluru actually looks like - who the players are, what they care about, and how to build genuine relationships with them. That last one is harder to teach than any technical skill.
